You’ll notice when taking a gander at my custom theme packages, that I reference “Celia’s Plugin Pack” quite a bit. So, to help those that know how to help themselves, I thought I’d give ya’ll a list of my “must-have” plugins.
1) WP-DB-Backup: A plugin that will automagically email you backups of your database at a pre-determined time. Something crashed and burned on your site? Good thing you’ve got a backup stored in your email, right? Find it here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/
2) Tiny MCE Advanced: Adds bunches of other cool buttons to the normal text editor that comes with Wordpress. Verra cool! http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tinymce-advanced/
3) Ozh Admin Drop-Down Menus: Makes navigating the back end of Wordpress much easier by adding drop down menus for everything. AND, it’s IE6 compatible! http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ozh-admin-drop-down-menu/
4) Pinpress.fm: Allows your blog posts to be forwarded and posted to oodles of other social networking platforms such as blogger and myspace. One blog post, many blogs. Yeah! http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pingpressfm/
5) Viper Video Quicktags: Makes adding videos to your blogs as easy as copying and pasting a link. Oooh, yeah. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/vipers-video-quicktags/
6) Stat Press: Dashboard accesible statistics plugin that tracks ze cool stuff. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/statpress/
7) WP-Spam Free: Denies ze spam AND acts as a spam blocking contact form if needed. Two things, one plugin. My kinda plugin, baby! http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-spamfree/
So, those are automagically installed as part of the plugin pack. What about you? Any plugins that you can’t live without?
Celia
